Personal Letters

1932    11th May
Letter from L, on hotel stationary in Kar saying they should meet in Franz Joseph station to go somewhere romantic.

1933    28th June
Letter from L (=MUDr. Leo Rindler) beautifully hand written, blue ink.
„In Warsaw in the Berliner Tagesblatt he read something on „high praises of a German dancer“. Female interviewer says banks can’t give money anymore.“
„The new dance – a big school. I couldn’t send payment any earlier because bankcaved in and savings banks didn’t pay anything. In the 30th May he will send the rest of the payment the next week.
Because of the Nazis making a shooting business and trouble I can not convince someone.”

„he read in newspaper again that „Pirquet“ modelled for Professor Heu. He knews Hedi, Hilde’s sister…he makes Hilde a romantique invitation with irony.“

1923    22nd November
Letter from Karl Leopold Schubert saying he is waiting for Hilde as he cancelled Greta Gross (with bold handwriting)

Letter from Felix Gluckman, writes critically about her performance in the various  dances.
„’Javanese Impressions’ was the high point of the evening and magical.
‚Icarus’ is a wonderful work. The ‚Greek Dance’ is reminiscent of Rudolph von Laben…..ceremony…..mechanic – without music dance wasn’t successful nor was the group technique. It was weak. The two, Lotta Lorentz and Hilde, were good.“
